Android 4.4 Coming to Motorola Droid Mini, Droid Ultra, Droid Maxx and Moto X


Android 4.4 Coming to Motorola

Surprisingly, Motorola users will be happy. However, Motorola has been updating some of its smartphones to recently announced Android 4.4 KitKat. The Smartphone which will get updates are Motorola Droid Mini, Droid Ultra, Droid Maxx and Moto X.

We don't have any particular availability date of Android 4.4 update till now, but we guess it will take few months to arrive on above mentioned devices.

Android 4.4 KitKat is the latest version of Android operating system which was announced by Google few months ago. While, Google Nexus 5 was announced yesterday along with Android 4.4 update. You can see Google is now Owner of Motorola, hopefully above devices will not take long time to get update. Till now we have list of above devices, if any other mentioned in-between them, we will get you update.

Before Google launch, some leaked images of Android 4.4 comes on the web. The Google's next Android operating system Android 4.4 is code named as KitKat, not for long-rumored Android 5.0. The KitKat name is taken from chocolate maker Nestle company.

Google's Android is the most popular operating system, millions of users are using Android OS on different devices like smartphone, tablets, and gaming systems.


Google says that "it's our goal with Android KitKat to make an amazing Android experience available for everybody."

So far, some leaked images are leaked over the Internet world. According to leak images, Android 4.4 Kitkat will come in new user interface, but not sure on these images are real or fake.

Here are four leaked images from 9to5google website, the first image shows a new blue colored phone dialer, where a new look of messaging app shows its controls moved to the top right corner.

Moreover, the home screen shows lighter color icons in the status bar like the Apple iOS 7 have. And in the last image shows the proof to be an Android 4.4 operating system.

UPDATE: Google Nexus 5 and Android 4.4 KitKat officially launched

Finally, Latest Jelly Bean version Android 4.3 OS has officially been announced by Google at San Francisco event. Android 4.3 is an advanced version of Android 4.2 with some new features and improved User Interface for users.

Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS is coming pre-installed on the new Nexus 7, this Jelly Bean version feature including multi-user accounts with restricted profiles. Restricted profiles can be used for parental controls, limiting access and changing performance of apps.

Google's Android 4.3 includes support of Bluetooth Smart Technology or Bluetooth Low Energy, it enables users to connect their Android smartphone or tablet without drain too much battery power. 

Google opt out OpenGL ES 3.0 for app/game developers , accelerated 3D graphics technology, which uses 32 bits of data per color. The new DRM APIs allow app to stream full HD video at 1080p like Netflix app.

The Android 4.3 updates will be available on Nexus and other high-end devices soon.

Android OS version 4.3 Jelly Bean has been leaked for Samsung Galaxy S4, But Google has not been launch yet officially. The Leaked Jelly Bean OS has leaked to SamMobile, where it described as "fully functional" without "a single thing that isn't working".

According to SamMobile – which had earlier shared screenshots of Android 4.3 running on the Google Edition – the ROM is completely unchanged from how their source supplied it, requiring no modifications to work on the more commonly available variant.

Changes we've seen on Android 4.3 is camera UI which is slitly changed to a half rounded circle menu, But there aren't big feature additions - not even on notification bar that we saw in previous version of Android OS.

INSTALLATION PROCESS ON PC : ↓
  1. Firstly download Android OS 4.2 ISO image and then burn image on CD/DVD or you can download a UNetbootin software to create bootable USB.
  2. Now, insert your USB stick or CD/DVD and then launch UNetbootin. Locate the ISO image via the bottom half of UNetbootin, and ensure the correct USB/CD/DVD is selected. Once everything is correct, click OK to start the conversion process and write the bootable data to your selected media.
  3. Once it’s finished, it will ask if you wish to reboot. If you want to go ahead and run Android, you can click Reboot; otherwise, just exit and run Android from your flash drive whenever you want.

Upcoming Android OS 5.0 Key Lime Pie | Google's Next Android OS Launch in year 2013

In Year 2013 Google inc. will launch next Android Operating System with new graphics and look. Google has launched Eight Android OS in different versions but in Alphabetical order. So far there has been Cupcake, Donut, Eclair, Froyo, Gingerbread, Honeycomb, Ice Cream Sandwich and Jelly Bean. And the next OS version name is 5.0 Key Lime Pie.

Manu Cornet, A Google Software Employee, confirmed the new Android version's name and showed the image of Android evolution since its first very stable release. The image demonstrates the ever changing progress of the OS platform from a slow Android holding a gingerbread then honeycomb as it continues to feel livelier with an ice cream sandwich, jellybean and, of course, the key lime pie.

Hopefully, the Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie would makes a better integrating apps and add up more features which are not yet seen in any of its previous versions which will improve the basic phone functions and will be useful in everyday life.

For gallery to not FC when rendering Sphere shots, change your system language to English (United States).
This will also make Sphereview work!

  2. libjni_latinimegoogle.so [I'm not sure what this does :P]
  3. Flash this zip in CWM and it should work.
To uninstall this you'll have to manually delete the files mentioned above.

How To Install Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean on Nexus S Steps are: ↓

  1. First of all, unlock bootloader, root and flash ClockworkMod Recovery on your Nexus S.
  2. Now, Direct download Android 4.1 OR Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean.
    This .zip file is for update to Jelly Bean from Android 4.0.4 (Build: IMM76D) on Nexus S models i9020T / i9023. According to some users, this .zip file also works on the i9020A model, even though it is not supposed to.
    Place the file directly under /sdcard on your Nexus S's internal storage.
    DO NOT use this .zip file if you are not on Android 4.0.4 with the specific build number previously mentioned.
  3. Now, you need to reboot into ClockworkMod (CWM) Recovery by shutting down your Nexus S, and then pressing and holding Volume Up + Power buttons.
  4. Take a NANDroid backup. This will be helpful later on in case you find any issues with the Jelly Bean ROM.
  5. Navigate to install zip from sdcard > choose zip from sdcard > [the .zip file that was downloaded in Step 2]. This will flash Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean to your Nexus S.
  6. Now, select reboot system now from CWM's main menu.


You are now done ... enjoy with latest Android OS.
